March 22, 2023 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Team Unite is proud to reveal Color Switch UEFN, our first map created entirely in Unreal Editor for Fortnite, thanks to our participation in the closed alpha program. Epic Games has now officially launched UEFN after the State of Unreal presentation at GDC 2023 and we are excited to have been involved in its development.

Color Switch is Team Unite’s most popular series to date, with over 80 million players. It was our first ever project published back in 2020, with multiple iterations being developed over the years. With Unreal Editor for Fortnite promising the next-generation of Creative Mode, it was only fitting to go back to our roots and start this new era with our most ambitious form of Color Switch to date.

This version of Color Switch includes revolutionary features that were never previously possible in Fortnite Creative until today. Set in Peely’s Bedroom, players must avoid standing on the wrong color tile before time runs out or else they’ll be eliminated. Sat at his desk is Peely himself, as he watches players while scratching his head and looking around. He’s not just there for aesthetics, while he might be eye candy to some - Peely will actually get involved in rounds, slamming the desk and sending contestants flying into the air as the difficulty level increases.

Fortnite players will be happy to learn that Color Switch is now one of the first Creative maps to take advantage of Unreal Engine 5.1, adding visual upgrades through Lumen and Nanite. This is especially noticeable as the sun sets in the background, allowing light to beautifully glare through the bedroom window.

Earn gold to purchase upgrades and specialized items, such as vehicle rounds. Our new selection screen allows players to browse through a range of options with ease.

For anyone who wants to spice things up, they can spend their prize winnings on vehicle rounds using Color Switch’s new upgrade selection screen. Thanks to Unreal Editor for Fortnite, players can peruse through upgrades without having to read text, walk around or search for help. Now, it’s as simple as ever, taking the experience back to its original purpose: fun, no questions asked.

It’s not all about winning - Color Switch has a variety of options for players who get eliminated, whether they like to spectate or explore. They will be able to take advantage of Afterlife Activities, teleporting to shelves and other secret areas hidden within Peely’s Bedroom. Land on the floor and meet his pet dog Bonesy, or head on over to the miniature race track to test your speed against other players.

It’s not just restricted to the playing field, the map is full of detailed areas to explore and participate in.

We are overwhelmingly excited to launch this version of Color Switch, and it’s available to play for free right now in Fortnite Creative.
