Explore Lavazza’s Icons of Italy by Team Unite

In one of their first ventures into the gaming industry, coffee giant Lavazza has worked with Team Unite to create an interactive Fortnite experience based on the company’s history and Italian heritage. The game, titled Icons of Italy, is part of a new partnership between Lavazza and esports organization Fnatic.

Our experience tells an interactive story, taking players through the iconic landmarks of Italy. They will be guided through various gamemodes that unlock over the course of one week, allowing for a perfect combination of gameplay and storytelling.

The Icons of Italy campaign features Fortnite streamer POW3R, and his presence is core to the central story of our experience. Players will start at POW3R’s fictional mansion and are presented with their objectives before being allowed to continue through the experience.

Icons of Italy features modes such as a duo-escape puzzle map, an obstacle course challenge, and the final trial includes a Gladiator-style free-for-all in the pits of our full recreation of The Colosseum.

To increase engagement and reward, the challenges included prizes such as a Lavazza giftbox. For players who got the fastest completed time of our course, they won a digital meet and greet with POW3R, with runners-up receiving additional rewards such as Fnatic apparel and equipment.

The map also features recreations of monuments and buildings such as Lavazza headquarters, The Pantheon, and the Ponte Vecchio bridge in Florence.
